We are delighted to introduce our talented judges for this years Irish Face and Body Painting. Our judges are Stacey Kilpatrick, Donna Morris & Ali Gordon. These are some of the industries best. Their talent, creativity and determination makes them successfull in their chosen fields.

 

We thank them for their support and for being our esteemed judges on September 20th 2015 at the Irish Face and Body Painting Competition.

ALAN GORDON
 

SFX make-up artist Ali Gordon joined forces with Ill Willed Productions in 2014. Alan with Tate co-founded Ill-willed SFX Workshops Europe. Alan better known as Ali, a native to Ireland received his training with the Stan Winston School of Character arts.

During his education Ali identified a gap in the European SFX make-up market. He made available education in the sfx industry to suit that demand where there was no training previously.

Partnering with Tate Steinsiek and his international workshops Ali has propelled IWFXW into a sought after education for aspiring and training FX artists all over Europe.

As Managing Director of Ill-willed SFX workshops Europe Ali has developed connections with make-up colleges and make-up artists in many countries across Europe including Ireland, the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Denmark, constantly expanding the IWFXW reach.

This is a fantastic platform for participants to showcase their skills and network in the industry. I am delighted to have been asked to judge and look forward to meeting an amazing array of painters.”

 

With over 15 year's experience in the Face & Body painting industry. Stacey comes from a strong technical background and has a wealth of experience in her chosen field.

 

Stacey has trained with many big industry names including Mark Reid, Pashur, Jay Bautista and Matteo Arfanotti.

 

She made her debut demonstrating at the UK Face and Body Painting convention in October 2014 and has become the leading company for face painting training in Northern Ireland.

 

Stacey is a member of FACE, the international face painting association and was the representative for FACE in Northern & Southern Ireland for 8 years helping to establish a strong network of painters and promoting high industry standards.

 

Stacey has also excelled in her field of creative and bridal makeup artistry gaining several accolades including Irish Makeup Artist of the year 2012 at Professional Beauty Dublin, Bridal Makeup Artist of the year by Getting Married in Northern Ireland magazine 2013 and runner up 2014 and was a Finalist in the Illamasqua Distinction in Makeup Artistry awards in 2011.

 

Her impressive client list includes BBC, Getting Married in NI magazine, Gladys USA, National Trust, Cadburys, Victoria Square, H&M and Remus Uomo.

Donna Morris 
 

Our talented Judge Donna Morris originally started in Costume Design and Theatrical makeup. Donna worked in theatre for over five years where she was part of the makeup team for various award winning shows. These included The Gaiety Theatre, The National Concert hall and other high profile theatres all over Ireland. 

 

Upon leaving the theatre circuit Donna worked as a freelance for 3 years. Donna then began working at Make Up For Ever Dublin as a fulltime makeup artists and tutor.

 

Doona has had the a great career so far working on fashion shows, editorial spreads and her makeup artistry skills can be seen in VIP Magazine, RSVP, U Magazine and Life Magazine regularily. 

 

In 2014 Donna then had an opportunity to train in Paris with the Creator of Make Up For Ever Dany Sanz.  Donna has continued to upgrade her skills from beauty make up to theatre to Special Fx. 

 

Donna has attended master classes with Body painter Mark Reid and World Champion Carolyn Roper and from there she found her love for Body Painting.

 

Having won The Irish Body Painting Competition in 2014, Donna travelled to Austria to compete in the World Body painting Festival and earned a place in the final of the competition.

 

Donna recently received a nomination for Best Make Up Artist for Image Beauty Awards 2014.
